Stritch Service Day was introduced in 2016 to establish and bolster connections throughout the greater Milwaukee community and strengthen spirit within the Stritch family.

To support this University-wide event, classes are typically canceled to allow students and faculty the opportunity to participate fully (nursing clinicals and evening classes will be held). The University will offer limited operations so that as many staff members as possible can participate in the day.

Would you like to assist with outdoor beautification projects? Or maybe you’d like to read to young children or participate in educational activities with school-age kids. How about brightening a senior citizen’s day by visiting with them? There are many meaningful opportunities available.

Registration is currently open! You can register and complete a participation waiver online through My Stritch at https://my.stritch.edu/ICS/Stritch_Resources/Stritch_Service_Day_Form.jnz. The registration deadline is Friday, September 24. Again this year, you will select a service site when you register. As a reminder, groups will need to have all members register individually.

When we return to campus for lunch, we will reflect on the impact of our work and discuss how our service benefits and enhances our community during the afternoon program.

The day provides an opportunity to come together while serving others in true Franciscan spirit. This important event brings the Stritch family together to do what we do best -- serving where there is great need while embracing and cultivating the diversity of all of God's creation. We look forward to spending the day with you in service to our community!
