Badgr - Overview

Badgr is a Learning/Education Support service available for Staff, Faculty and Students. It is an external service with its own credentials. The site is https://badgr.io/auth/login.

To access your micro-credential you will need to open your own personal account with the free service named Badgr at: https://badgr.io/signup.

**It is important to use a personal email address to create your Badgr account so you can continue to access your Badgr account after your Wolfmail email account is no longer active. Badges issued from Cardinal Stritch University will be linked to the wolfmail email address listed in your Badgr account, so you will need to link your Wolfmail email address to your Badgr account after setting it up.

 

1. Enter a personal email address.
2. Enter your first and last name.
3. Create a password and enter it again in the next space to confirm.
4. Agree to the Terms of Service
5. Click on Create Account.

After clicking on Create Account, a verification email will be sent to your personal email account. Log into your personal email account to verify your Badgr account. If you are having issues finding the email make sure you check your spam, junk, and/or promotions folders. 

**You will want to add your Wolfmail email address to your Badgr account as Badges will follow you even after you leave Cardinal Stritch University. It is also important to use a personal email address to create your Badgr account so you can continue to access your Badgr account after your Wolfmail email account is no longer active.

While logged into your account:

Click the Account menu button, and choose Profile.

1) Enter your Wolfmail email address in the Member Email text box, and 2) click on Add Email

Afterwards, another verification email will be sent to the Wolfmail email you just added. Follow the same steps you followed before, for verifying your previous email.

From your Badgr account, go back to your list of emails in Account>Profile.

You should now see your Wolfmail email has changed from Pending to Verified.

To login to your existing account, visit https://badgr.io/auth/login

Enter your username (email address) and password.

Click on Sign In.                              

Your username is the email address you used to create the account.

To recover your password, visit https://badgr.io/auth/login 

Click on the Forgot Password? link.

On the following page, 1) enter the personal email address linked to your account, and 2) click the Reset Password button.

An email will be sent to the email account you entered, so make sure you have access to it.

Log in to that email service, (be sure to check your spam, junk, and/or promotions folders if you do not see the email in your Inbox) open the Badgr "Confirm password reset request" email, and follow the steps listed in the email.

1) Enter a new password 2) Enter it a second time in the Confirm box. 3) Click Change Password

You will be taken to the sign in page where you can enter your email address and new password.

To access your Badges, follow the instruction above for Accessing an existing Badgr Account.

Once you are logged in, it should default to your Backpack page. If not, click on the Backpack link in the menu at the top of your account.

Click on the badge you want to view. This will take you to that badges page.

From the badge's page, you can Share the badge, Print a badge certificate, View the badges external criteria URL, Delete the badge, or add it to a collection.

Share Badge allows you to share your credentials via a private link, through social media, or and embeded iframe code.

Print Certificate allows you to print a physical copy of a badge.

Delete Badge will remove the badge from your account.

Add to collection will add the badge to a collection you have created. You must have a Collection already created to add a Badge to a collection.

To create a Collection:

1) Click on Collections in the menu at the top of your Badgr account, this will take you to the Collections page

2) Click on Add Collections in the upper right corner.

At the Collections page, give your collection a 1) Title and 2) Description, then 3) Click on Add Collection

This will take you to the Collection you just created.

Here you can also add Badges by clicking on the Add Badge button, and selecting the badge you want to add.

You can also set your Collection from public to private with the toggle switch in the upper right corner, and delete your collection with the Delete Collection link below the collection description.

Setting your collection to Public with the toggle switch allows you to Share Collections.
